CROXLEY TAEKWONDO

Awarded Grant from the National Lottery May 2015

The Big Lottery Fund supports the aspirations of people who want to make life better for their communities across the UK. We are responsible for giving out 40% of the money raised by the National Lottery and invest over £650 million a year in projects big and small in health, education, environment and charitable purposes.

Since June 2004 we have awarded over £6.5billion to projects that make a difference to people and communities in need, from early years intervention to commemorative travel funding for World War Two veterans.

Since the National Lottery began in 1994, £33 billion has been raised and more than 450,000 grants awarded.

Clubmark is the Sport England mark of high quality sports clubs for juniors and adults

Clubmark is the stamp of approval to which all sports clubs aspire

Clubmark represents high quality, safety, fair and focussed support for all

As a single, national standard, Clubmark gives structure and direction to every type of sports club

Clubmark is endorsed by all the main sporting, youth and education agencies involved in the delivery of sporting opportunity for young people

Clubmark is the Sport England mark of high quality sports clubs. National governing bodies of sport (NGBs) and county sport partnerships (CSPs) award Clubmark to proven high quality clubs. The national scheme has been in place since 2002 and there are now over 14,000 accredited clubs across 50 sports.

Only clubs affiliated to a Sport England recognised NGB can gain Clubmark accreditation. However, clubs are not disadvantaged simply because the NGB in their sport is not licensed to accredit. A licensed CSP can accredit clubs in its area that belong to a Sport England recognised but not licensed NGB, such as handball, ice hockey and korfball.

As a single, national standard, Clubmark gives sports clubs of all types structure and direction. Clubs awarded Clubmark have seen many tangible benefits, such as increased membership and the development of coaches and volunteers. Clubmark provides a focus around which all organisations involved in sport can come together to support good practice in sports clubs working with children and young people.

Sport England is responsible for validation of NGBs and CSPs, for moderation of its impact on clubs and for the marketing and promotion of the programme throughout England. For further information you can contact the Clubmark team by email: clubmark@sportengland.org
